Food for family

We had family up for a visit.  Since we are cleaning out the deep freezer and pantry we just kept right ahead with it all.

The only meal we picked up stuff for was breakfast sandwiches.  They are pretty high on my list of favorites.  Especially if you add some cooked bacon, spinach, and marinated (well drained, patted dry) bell peppers.   We used the basics and it was still very yummy!

For dinner, we had bread, baked ziti, and meatballs.  This cleared up almost a whole shelf in the freezer!

In an effort to use up some smaller items from the pantry we had spinach dip and veggie sticks to go along with the pasta.

The roasted garlic and herb compound butter we made was to die for!  I normally make sweet compound butter but this one that Hubby made was amazing!

The last meal we had was Ribs with store bought sides.  The Ribs took hours in the sous vide then a few more in the smoker to get to this point.  However, they were delicious.  The Cooter Browns dry rub made them perfect!  These also cleared up part of a shelf in the deep freezer.

Overall, I would say we did a pretty darn good job making yummy food with a lot of what we had on hand.
