You have grown in leaps and bounds this month! So much so that you are looking more like a toddler and less like the little baby I brought home from the hospital. Obviously, this was bound to happen but it is sad and happy all wrapped up into one. Now that you are mobile you get into everything! I can't complain too much about it though. The older you get the more fun you are getting. We can interact more and you are picking up on things like peek a boo and playing with cars. I look forward to seeing what is next!
Weight: I am beyond happy to report that you according to the doctors office you are 16lbs 1 1/2oz. You didn't gain a whole lot of weight since your last visit but you did gain a decent amount in length. Overall you are finally on the growth chart without even using your adjusted age! This also means that we don't need to go back to the doctor to recheck your growth. It's a small victory but I'll take it.
Clothing size: Once again you are still in 3-6 month clothing. I could move you up as some of the older outfits have already been retired but I'm going to hold out on it for a few weeks longer.
Diaper size: Much like your clothing, you have yet to move up into the next size. For now you will remain in a size 2 diaper until I am brave enough to try a size 3!
Sleep: You are having a rough time with naps. Now that you have figured out how to crawl you don't want to stop moving long enough to sleep. In the long run the lack of proper naps is making you a very fussy baby in the evening.
Food: You are pounding back bottles like a champ. Six ounces of formula to be exact. As far as solids go you will be trying carrots soon. I have no doubt that you will like them since you have yet to not like any food you have tried.
Baby Sign: You have mastered the "puppy" sign. I am so happy to see you using it when you want the puppy toy, Coco or Duke and even in books! You are back using "milk" at appropriate times although not consistently. We have added in "sleep," "walk," "Ball," "Book," "eat," and "Duck." You seem to be picking up on few of them but I know it will take time before you start to use them. In the mean time I will keep studying and (re)learning more ASL.
Favorite Toy: I would say that it is the walker in your bedroom or the toy remote you like to chew on.
Favorite Book: For the past few weeks we have been reading a classic Disney Collection book. You are a dream to read to at night. You sit patiently for any book I pick. I will say you are partial to books about Dogs or Puppies.
Teeth: At some point I forgot to write about your two little teeth. Yup that's right you have two bottom teeth sticking out. They are pearly white and sharp as I have found out when you bit my finger instead of the toy that was in my hand. I will say you are a much more pleasant baby to be around now that they finally have broken through. On the flip side though you must (and I mean MUST) have a bib on at all times.
On the move: Bear you started crawling about 2 weeks ago! I can't believe how active you are now. The dogs had no idea what they were in for. You use them like an obstacle course or something to pull up on. Speaking of pulling up on things, I mentioned to Daddy a week or so ago that I couldn't wait to walk into your room and see you standing up in your crib. Well last night you did just that! As adorable as it is you have little idea how to let yourself down without simply letting go. So you scream until someone helps you down or you just let go and freak out.
